Different Modes of language Interpretation...
Interpreting otherwise known as Language Interpretation is a vocal translational activity in which an interpreter produces a
first and final translation on the basis of a one-time exposure to an expression in a source language to a target language.
It is applicable both for spoken or signed languages.
In every mode of language interpretation, the interpreter must quickly and carefully convey the meaning and intent of the
original message delivered by the speaker in the same tone into the target language. Interpreters must have excellent
proficiency in the language, and the ability to quickly analyze and render messages from one language to the other, and
adherence to international professional ethics and international standards of practice.
An interpreter can perform Interpreting both face-to-face and remotely. Remote interpretation is performed through various
technological platforms using telephone and audio-video communication conferences.
There are three basic modes of language interpretation viz. simultaneous, consecutive, and sight translation. Sight
translation is a special mode of language interpretation, in which the interpreter delivers an oral rendition of a written
text. Sight translation is used usually, but not exclusively, in judicial and medical work. Whereas, simultaneous
interpretation & consecutive interpretation are completely based on oral messages.
Simultaneous Interpretation is widely used and its nuances are many. It is widely used by the government & private sectors
today. We offer Simultaneous Interpretation Services, Consecutive Interpretation Services, & Sight Translation by highly
professional and experienced interpreters in Dubai.
